TEXAS — On Wednesday, Jan. 15, Jolt Action proudly announces its endorsements of the following candidates running for office during the 2020 elections:
The following is a statement from Antonio Arellano, interim executive director of Jolt Action, a Texas Latino voter organization:
“These candidates are fighting for the very same causes the members, staff and supporters of Jolt Action fight for every day. Whether it’s ensuring every Texan is counted in the U.S. census or leading the charge on innovative campaigns to get out the vote, we know that it is up to us to transform this state so that it represents all Texans — and it starts with civic engagement.
“We couldn’t be prouder to support candidates who believe in access to quality healthcare, that no college student should graduate with a pile of debt, that we must address climate change issues swiftly and effectively lest our communities of color continue to carry the brunt of its negative impacts, and that every Texan, regardless of status or background, should be treated with dignity and respect.
“By putting the right candidates in office and supporting causes like Jolt Action’s, we are ensuring we are electing leadership that reflects the values and priorities of our growing demographics, from the Texas Legislature, all the way to the White House.”
