Today, more than half of Texas college graduates have student debt. The average loan amount is $26,000, and tuition costs in Texas continue to increase, jeopardizing the future of young Latinos.
It’s time for Senator Ted Cruz to address the issues that affect us, and take action to make college debt free and affordable for all Texans. That’s why we’re calling on Senator Cruz to sign Bernie Sanders’ College for All Act to scrap tuition and fees at public colleges and universities for families making less than $125,000 a year, helping make college more affordable for Texans.
It’s time for Sen. Cruz to lead on the issues that affect young Latinos. If he doesn’t, we will hold him accountable this November at the polls.
