Stories are powerful.

From a pandemic to protests for racial justice and true police reform, our communities across Texas are facing struggles and obstacles many of us have never faced in our lifetime before. We’ve been asked to confront a multitude of hurdles that generations before us had the ability to face separately. However, we’ve also seen strangers, friends, family members, and neighbors come together to pick each other up and push each other forward when it seems impossible. It is through this shared sense of belief, of hope, and of a better tomorrow that we are able to find our way through this time.
Therefore, we are asking each of you to take this time to share your story. Share how you or your family has felt the impact of the issues surrounding us today. Share your reason why you believe it is important for your elected official to know your struggles and why they should look like you and the community they represent. Let us know how we can come together as one voice, one people, to demand action for our community.
No matter what issues you’re facing, or what struggles lie ahead, we want to help amplify your voice and your concerns. We’re giving a platform to the Latinx community to create a conversation to improve our community with Mi Porque/My Reason.
When you participate, a Jolt staff member will follow up to talk about your story and how we can amplify it to create positive change.
