Jolt’s Levántate y Lucha Institute trains the next generation of community leaders and organizers in Texas. Through the development of core organizing skills and political education, participants will gain access to tools to build a movement of engaged Latino voters and shift the political landscape of Texas for a more just democracy that serves all Texans.

What to expect
The Levántate y Lucha Institute will provide you the opportunity to:
Become knowledgeable about Latino identity, organizing culture and history.
Have the tools necessary to combine digital organizing with on-the-ground organizing.
Deliver a powerful story of self to organize people for a cause.
Develop core organizing skills (needed to be effective leaders in our communities).
Gain political awareness and a sense of the impact you can make in the Latino community.
Meet like-minded community members, future community leaders, and people who know the importance of civic engagement.
Fundamentals Of Organizing
Participants will learn the skills they need to launch and manage a grassroots organizing campaign. The February training will occur virtually.
Program Commitments
Participants should have a personal commitment to social justice and be able to attend the entire session.
